this concert was part of the 70th birthday anniversary tour for dieter glawischnig, the long-year leader of the ndr bigband and founder of the neighbours, a trio with ewald oberleitner and john preininger (who died 2002)

An incredible find! A super rare treat to find a recording of this age with my personal favorite sax player Fred Anderson. I had not heard this ensemble before and was blown away by the highly intuitive interaction amongst the players.
