Now I offer a double helping of one of my favorite pianists of today. This was the first opportunity I had to hear a solo performance of his. Mr. Moran always seems to be brimming with inventiveness when he plays and this solo concert where he explores the possibilities of his instrument within the solo context is a great example. To compliment it I have also included the performance of his well known trio The Bandwagon recorded the following day. I hope some of you enjoy these two documents as much as I do. Big Thanks to Tomyoungster at Dime-a-dozen for sharing these nuggets.
